In July 2017, we conducted a 2-day teacher-training program for 35 teachers of St. Mary’s School, Newasa, Maharashtra. This school is situated in the hinterland of Aurangabad, and serves the students of the rural community there.

In July 2017, we conducted a 1-day workshop for 80 students of St. Mary’s School, Newasa. The workshop, titled ‘Digital Citizenship’ aimed to teach the students to safely navigate the cyber world. Besides safety, we also discussed the moral & ethical issues that they would face, and how they can use the power of the digital world to create positive footprints for themselves.

This 3 day workshop for K-12 teachers focused on creating awareness about 21st Century teaching approaches to bridge the gap between how today’s students live and learn. The module emphasized on defining 21st century students and the challenges that the educators face today. This workshop offered tools to support teachers’ to become “21st Century Educators” and find new ways to promote student engagement and self-directed learning. Teachers learnt and practiced strategies to make meaningful and long-lasting improvements in their teachings.

This is an award-winning project, won by Founder, Charu Mathur along with 4 other alumni of US Exchange programs by US Consulate under 'US TERI Alumni Conference 2017 - Building Bridges through Exchanges' and was conducted for teachers from schools in Assam & Meghalaya in association with Socrates Foundation For Enhanced Learning.
41 teachers from 19 schools in Guwahati, and 20 teachers from 7 schools in Shillong participated in this program. On 25th April 2018, Socrates Foundation conducted a one day workshop for 70 teachers from Balwadis of Sanaswadi,Chakan,Wagholi & Lonikand. The topic was 'Teacher Development for Effective Student Engagement'. Rotary Club of Poona Downtown supported this project. The workshop was facilitated by Ms Rajani Date, Director Vanaz Parivar Bal Vidya Mandir, her associates Hema Bharekar & Sheetal Deshmukh.
